Tourdot Leis Surpass 100 career wins

Tom Tourdot and Morgan Leis surpass one hundred career wins at the Stevens Point Dual Invitational this last weekend. Only fourteen wrestlers in the history of Sparta Wrestling have done so with the most recent being Jordan Stanek last season. With one hundred fifty nine wins Matt Tourdot is the all time leader in wins for Sparta Wrestling.

While Tourdot and Leis both get their hundredth win, the team did not fair so well. The Spartans lost against Stevens Point and Manitowac. After that the Wrestlers rallied and beat Shawano and Appleton West to put the Spartans in the fifth place match against Baraboo. Sparta Beat Baraboo 45 - 23 with and impressive win by Tristan Zurfluh, Sparta came back in the third period to beat Baraboo's William Peirce. Then, after a scoring conflict had to come back on to the mat and wrestle a overtime match. Zurfluh won by takedown with few seconds left in the match.
