Lights, Camera, Action!

Springtime means something different to everyone, such as flowers blooming or graduation. However, to those dedicated to theatre and acting, springtime means the annual spring play. This year's performance will be "Steel Magnolias", directed by Mark Lakowske.

The story revolves around Truvy's Beauty Parlor and the six women whose lives come together there. Tryouts were held on Friday, January 14, in the auditorium. Several students tried out, and Lakowske praised them all for the "dedication [he] saw".

The cast list for Steel Magnolias, in order of appearance, is as follows: Nikki Naumann as Truvy, Amanda Flock as Annelle, Brooke Granahan as Clairee, Paige Anderson as Shelby, Kristina Stuntabeck as M'Lynn, and Kate Leverich as Ouiser.

The show is scheduled to take place on the weekend of March 31. More information will become available as the show dates draw near.
